MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club

General Meeting and Election of Officers

17 Members representing 10 Clubs

Absent Clubs:  Barge Canal, Buckskin Bowmen,

FL Chapter Trout, FL Sports-O-Rama, Interlaken Sportsmen,

Seneca Schuyler Wildlife.

 

Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm by President John Sipos.

Pledge allegiance to the flag opened the meeting.

Minutes:

     Minutes reviewed. Correction to minutes.

1st: Motion was not made to increase dues.  Motion was made to continue dues as designated.

2nd: Carol Sipos did not have a 2nd hip replacement.  The second operation has left her with out a hip socket.  She is steadily on the mend. 

     Motion made to accept minutes after corrections. Motion carried.

Treasurers Report:

     Treasurer Mark White gave a detailed report on all accounts.  Motion made to accept. Motion carried.

Correspondence:

     Thank You letter read from Sonni Sampson.  She thanked the Federation for flowers and support given to her by everyone in the Federation.  Our thoughts continue to be with her in days ahead.

NYSCC:

     Gary Chave read a letter on the proposals from NYSDEC on fishing changes.  The proposals are numerous.  A copy of the letter will be included with the minutes.

     Dieter Kraemer announced that DEC EC Officer Keith Levinway will transfer to Yates Co. His position has been put on web site to be filled.  We wish him good luck in his new post.

Committee Reports:

FWMA: No Meeting

CFAB:  Gary Chave suggested that we contact Charlie Hancock – Region 8.  Letter to be sent to invite him to our meeting.

Banquet Committee:

     The following members are on the banquet committee:

Ed Mitchell, Tom Grasek, DeLoss Stuck, Mark White,

Bill Ryan, Karen Burlingame, Barb Wells.  Kenny Poorman and Bill Dadson will be running the Chinese Auction.  All will be overseen by John Sipos. Banquet Prizes and Raffles being put together. Raffles and Dinner Tickets should be available by the February meeting.

     As stated before, the banquet will be on April 20th at the Waterloo Sportsmen’s Club on Edwards Road.  Doors will open at 6:00 pm and Dinner will be at 7:00 pm. 

As before, all clubs are asked to bring an item to be put in the Chinese Auction.  We are asking that all clubs take out a ¼ page advertisement for $25.00 or larger in the banquet book.  I will send a letter out to all the clubs.

     Kenny Poorman asked for check to purchase Chinese Auction items.  Motion made to give him $200.00. Motion carried.

Old Business:

     Question asked if anyone would like to be treasurer.   Answer:  No takers.

Letters will be sent to every club for dues.  Dues must be paid by March 31, 2006 for your club to be able to vote on any issues.

   Motion made to accept nominations. Motions carried.

Next Meeting will be at Kuneytown Sportsmen’s Club on February 21st, 7:30 pm.

Enclosed you will find the 2006 Meeting Schedule.  Note – We will be visiting North Seneca in March and Buckskin Bowmen in December.

Motion made to adjourn.  Motion carried.
